Takamine has expanded its improved G Series of acoustic guitars with some beautiful classical models. The GC1-NAT is the most affordable model from this budget-friendly series. This makes it an ideal instrument for beginners and hobbyists who are on a limited budget. This classical guitar produces the same beautiful, warm acoustic sounds as a much more expensive nylon-string guitar.

Takamine GC1-NAT: full and balanced sound

The GC1 has a specially selected spruce top with traditional fan-shaped braces. The sides and the back are made of mahogany and the entire guitar has an appealing high-gloss lacquer. The string nut width of 2 inches means this instrument is very comfortable to play. The neck is also made of mahogany and has a 19-fret laurel fretboard. The combination of those wood types results in a beautifully full and balanced sound.

Stylish details

Despite its low price, this classical guitar features some very stylish details. For instance, the headstock has a cap made of laurel and the chrome-plated tuners have luxurious pearloid pegs. The string nut and the bridge saddle are made of synthetic bone and the sound hole has been decorated with wooden mosaic inlays. Finally, the neck has been set into the body by means of a traditional dovetail joint for more stability and a better tone.
